Caption Reads: Mide equipment, shown at the right and above, was used in healing rites. The wooden box (above) was used to store an eagle-feather headdress that was part of the Mide ceremonies. The inside of the lid is inscribed with pictures relating to that of a ritual story or sont. The religious meaning of the dolls at the right is less clear; they were found in an 18th century mide medicine sack, so i am proposing that they were used as healing mechanisms, or to protect the carriers.
